If we are talking about the best commercial paint sprayers then the Graco Magnum X7 should be number one.

What I like most about this sprayer is that it has a full metal body ( except for the hose ), this makes the sprayer very durable and gives the tool a longer life.

Except for that – it is fully adjustable. You can adjust the material flow and the pressure to match the project you are working on. It has a switch tip too that allows you to switch the tip if the sprayer ever gets clogged while working.

The Graco Magnum X7 is a professional sprayer, meaning that it can be used for large projects. The sprayer is designed to spray up to 125 gallons per year, but I feel that it can spray more without any problem.

It features a 5/8 HP motor that can deliver up to 3000 psi. The sprayer is fast too, it can spray up to 0.31 gallons per minute.

But on the downside, since it’s made from metal the sprayer weights a lot more (23lbs), but luckily the sprayer comes with two wheels that help you to move the tool easier.

Pros:

  • Professional -Recommended use is 125 gallons per year.
  • Powerful – 5/8 HP motor that delivers up to 3000 PSI.
  • Fast – It can spray up to 0.31 gallons per minute.
  • Adjustable – You can adjust the material flow.

Cons:

  • Heavy – It weighs 23 lbs but it comes with wheels.

Although this is a professional paint sprayer, the unit itself is very easy to set up and use, I have seen many DIYers and homeowners use it.

This is an airless paint sprayer which means that the paint finish quality will be smooth. This sprayer uses a HEA technology that reduces the overspray for 55% and delivers a softer paint.

What I like most about this sprayer is that it can spray up to 300 gallons per year – which is 2x more than our first pick. Also, it comes with a full metal body and a 50ft hose. The hose can be extended to 100ft if needed.

The Titan Control Max 1700 features a 0.60 HP pump that delivers up to 1500 PSI. The pump gives the sprayer enough power to spray un-thinned paint up to 0.33 gallons per minute.

This sprayer is made from FUJI – a known company for HVLP paint sprayers. The FUji 2202 is a semi-pro paint sprayer, if you are a hobbyist or if you are thinking to start your own painting company then you should check this one out.

What I like most about this sprayer is that it comes with a metal turbine case. The case stays at the ground and it’s connected to a spray hose, which means that you don’t have to carry the weight of the sprayer while working.

The turbine comes with a professional non-bleed spray gun – this means that the spray gun won’t spill the paint no matter what position you put the sprayer. This Fuji slayer has a two-stage motor that can spray in-thinned paint.

This is an HVLP paint sprayer, this type of sprayers are known for over spraying. But, this one comes with a fan pattern control that allows you to adjust the overall fan pattern ( From 1″ to 12″).

Pros:

  • Semi-Pro – Good finish quality.
  • Powerful – Two-stage motor
  • Durable – The turbine is made from metal and it’s very durable.
  • Spray gun – You will get a non-bleed spray gun.

The next sprayer on our list is from Homeright. Homeright is a known company for paint sprayers, all of their sprayers are very easy to use and made for homeowners.

There’s no exception here, this airless paint sprayer is very easy to set up and it’s made for homeowners.

The HomeRight Power Flo Pro comes with a 1/2 HP motor that delivers up to 2800 PSI. Because of this motor, the sprayer is able to spray un-thinned paint without any problem.

It is adjustable too, you can adjust the spray patterns and control the material flow. This can be helpful if you will work on different projects. The sprayer features a 25ft paint hose that helps you to move around easier and if you want to move the whole sprayer then the handle at the top can be useful.

This is a smaller version of our first pick. The Graco Magnum X5 comes with almost the same features as our first pick.

What I like most about this model is that you can spray directly from the paint buckets. You can spray from 1 or 5 paint gallons. This sprayer doesn’t require you to thin the paint so this can be helpful if you have a small project to work on – you can just open the paint gallon and start spraying.

Except for that, the Magnum X5 features a 1/2 HP motor that can deliver up to 3000 PSI. The sprayer is fast too, it can spray up to 0.27 gallons per minute. It can spray up to 125 gallons per year. Comparing it to the X7 ( our first pick ), the X5 is lighter, it weighs 13 lbs which is 10 pounds less. This makes this sprayer more portable.

The sprayer is also adjustable, you can adjust the paint flow and pressure and it features a 75ft paint hose support system.

Pros:

  • Paint gallons – You can spray directly from 1 or 5 paint gallons.
  • Powerful – 1/2 HP motor that delivers 3000 PSI.
  • Fast – You can spray 0.27 gallons per minute.
  • Lightweight – Only weighs 13 lbs.

Cons:

  • Difficult to clean

Best Professional Paint Sprayers – Buyers Guide

Although there are a lot of features that you need to look into when buying a commercial paint sprayer, some of them are more important than others. Here are the things that you need to look into:

Project Size

This is probably the most important thing that you need to know before buying any sprayer not only commercial sprayer. If you know the project type and the size of the project you will know what sprayer to buy. If you will be working outside on a big project then choosing a powerful paint sprayer is recommended. If you will be working inside on a very small project then spending hundreds of dollars isn’t recommended.

Except for the motor, knowing the project size will help you to choose a sprayer with better features. Let’s say you have to work outside – you need a portable paint sprayer because you will be moving a lot and you also need a very long paint hose/cord.

Paint Type

There are a lot of paint types available on the market. Some of them are thick and some are thin. The thick paints such as latex are very hard to deal with. In order to spray un-thinned paint, the sprayer needs to have a powerful motor. Find here the Best Spray Gun For Latex Paint

Before buying a commercial paint sprayer you need to know the paint type that you will be using and then check if the paint sprayer can deal with that type of paint or not.  If you will be using thick paints then you also need to have a bigger paint tip.

Paint Capacity Storage

Paint capacity plays a big role in the weighs of the sprayer. If the paint capacity if large then the sprayer will weight more once it’s filled full of paint. Large capacity also means that you won’t have to re-fill the sprayer a lot of times. But, small paint capacity means that the sprayer will be lighter and more portable. The choice is yours.

Paint Volume

A small but important thing to check into. This determines how much paint is transferred from the paint cup to the surface. If it’s high then you will be able to complete the project faster and better. But, this can also lead you to over spraying.

Noise

Most of the paint sprayers are loud. Depending on the type of sprayer can be loud or not. If you are working outside then noise won’t be a huge problem, but if you have to work inside then the noise is something you need to check into. Usually, airless paint sprayers are known to be quiet and HVLP paint sprayers are known to be loud, but that also depends on the model and manufacturer.

Warranty

Go for products that have more support from their manufacturers. Usually, the ones that have a longer warranty are better. Also, the ones that come with online documentations or youtube videos to teach you how to use their products are the best.  This is one of the first you need to check if you are a beginner. If you are not. then you already know how to use paint sprayers so the online documentation won’t be necessary.

Accessories

Every paint sprayer comes with different accessories. You need to know which ones will help you. Usually, paint sprayers that come with different spraying tips are very good, they help the sprayer to deal with different kinds of paint. Long cord, long paint hose, nozzles are just some of my favorite accessories. If a sprayer doesn’t have these I don’t buy it.

Final Words

And this is it – here are the best commercial paint sprayers. As you can see the list contains sprayers with different features and prices. Depending on your project you can choose one or the other. Since these are commercial paint sprayers that means that they usually cost more than a normal paint sprayer but they also give you a better finish quality.

You have to keep in mind that these sprayers do not come one-size-fits-all. That means that what is best for your neighbors won’t be good and vice versa.

Maintaining your paint sprayer is very important – you spend a lot of money on these commercial paint sprayers so you want them to last. right? The best way to keep the paint sprayers safe is to clean them after each use.

Make sure to find sprayers that are easy to clean, no one wants to spend 20 minutes after working for hours just to clean the sprayer.  Go for paint sprayers that are easy to clean, most of these type of sprayers come with cleaning brushes or are easy to disassemble.
