The ” Council Tool Velvicut Premium Saddle Axe ” is a beautiful ax, however this ax is also made for heavy-duty work.  The drop is forged by 5160 steel that is known as a long-lasting material and for blade retention.

The design of the ax comes with two sides. The left blade comes with a 25-degree flat grind that is used for cutting, carving, etc, and the right blade features a 32-degree flat grind that is used more for heavier jobs such as notching, splitting, etc. This ax has been heat treated and crafted with a distinctive flat grind on each side of the blade and this ensures a better versatility.

One of the many things I like about this ax is that you can use the bevels to make it is easier to remove the ax after you have made a deep cut.
