Another good ladder that I like a lot is this Little Giant 22-foot ladder. I like this ladder because it’s very versatile. You can use it for home-projects, but you also can use it for more professional and higher tasks. It’s a multipurpose ladder.

What makes this ladder special is that it can transform into different sizes — A-Frame, 90-degree ladder, etc. This ladder does the job of 5 ladders. You can also convert it from a 22 to a 19-foot ladder. It’s a multi-position ladder.

This one is very portable too — once you are done with your work, you can easily fold it and store it without any problem.  It is also very lightweight and that helps a lot with portability.

Best Folding Extension Ladders — Buyers Guide

If you look at ladders they may look all the same to you. But there are ladders that are made only for specific work, so the chances of you buying the wrong ladder are high. Except for that, some tools are low-quality and not safe. You need to buy models that are durable.

When looking for the Best Folding Extension Ladders you will come across different features -- if you don't know what these features do then don't worry. We have made a buyer's guide that will tell you exactly what you need to check when buying a folding ladder. Some of the things that you need to check are -- weight, height, etc.

But since there are a lot of different models available on the market, choosing one can be hard. On the best foldable ladders list, we have included 5 different models. All of them are good, but if you don’t know which one to pick then here are the things that you should focus on before buying a folding ladder.

Maximum Weight

This is one of the most important factors when it comes to ladders. What is the maximum weight that a folding ladder can carry? Ladders have been built to support different weights.

There are tools that can carry up to 200 lbs and there are ladders that can carry up to 400 lbs. In my opinion, you should always buy a ladder that can carry a lot of weight — at least 330 lbs.  That makes it possible for different people to use the same ladder.

A ladder that can carry a lot of weight is essential especially to the professionals because except for your body weight, you have also to add in the weight of the tools that you are carrying.

You choose a ladder that doesn’t carry a lot of weight only if you weight less than the maximum weight and you know that you will not use the ladder daily.

Material

Most of the foldable ladders are made to lasts for years, but not all of them will. An important factor for the durability of the ladder is the material. You should pick a ladder that comes with high-quality material.

Tools that are made from aluminum are good. They offer durability and at the same time they are not very heavy, so the ladder won’t weight as much. An even better solution is a combination of aluminum and steel.

The pressure points should be made of steel and the rest of the ladder should be made of aluminum. But, even aluminum will do. Never buy a ladder that is made of plastic or any other low-quality material.

Height

We buy ladders to help us reach areas that we can’t, so you should always check the maximum height of the ladder to know if it fits your needs or not.

An important thing to check is the number of steps. Usually, the more steps a ladder has the higher it is.

The best ones are the ones that are adjustable — that means that you can adjust the height of the ladder to match your needs.

Regardless of that, you should always know what height works for you and what doesn’t.

Portability

All of these tools are foldable, so when it comes to storing them you won’t face any big problem. Although, you should always check the size of the ladder before buying.

Another thing that is important about folding ladders is the portability — I suggest to buy ladders that come with wheels to help you move around.

A big factor that determines if the ladder is portable or not is the weight. Usually, folding ladders are lightweight. Tools that are made of aluminum are lightweight and easy to carry.

Non-Slip Features

Something that most of the people forget to check is the slip-resistant features. Some ladders don’t come with non-slip rubber feet. These kinds of ladders can move on some surfaces.

Make sure to buy folding ladders that come with non-slip grips. This is a safety standard feature.

Final Words

And this is it — this is the best folding ladders list. Most of these ladders come with different characteristics. You should always check if the ladder fits your need or not before buying.

If you don’t know which one to pick then read our buyer’s guide to see where you should focus before buying one. And as always — if you have any question comment down below or send us an email and we will try to get back at you as fast as possible.
